Yoshiaki Yuki at Clodagh Collection Showroom

Please join us for Yoshiaki Yuki’s first exhibition at this internationally renowned designer's Manhattan showroom.

The juxtaposition of Clodagh’s functional and stylish home furnishings and Yoshiaki Yuki’s playful and dynamic art, Jizaiga, is not only complimentary but also creates a dramatically inspired environment for today's home.

This exhibit will showcase Yuki's screens, silver ceramic pieces, and textiles. These free spirited works of art are constrained by neither category, material, nor medium. From traditional Japanese screens to ceramics and textiles, the “canvas” he uses knows no bounds. Yuki covers his ceramic pieces with pure silver glaze creating the impression that they are sterling silver. Some of his recent works from this series such as his cylinder and ring shaped ceramic vases have captivated many visitors at this year's art fairs. Another highlight of this exhibit will be his recent works done in collaboration with textile designer Jun-ichi Arai. Yuki’s Jizaiga images have been printed and tie-dyed onto various textiles using Arai’s state-of-the-art textile designing techniques. The result of this collaboration are exquisite works which take wall tapestries and table runners to the next level.

Come and see how Yuki’s Jizaiga art can add an exciting new dimension to today's home environment.
Please join us for an opening reception on Monday, October 5th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Japanese tea demonstration will be held during the reception.
The exhibition will extend through Monday, October 26th. The exhibition is open to the public Monday – Friday from 9am to 6pm.
